Ridiculous yet brilliant SCP concepts

Ever had an idea for an SCP you knew was doomed to fail? A concept which in the right hands could make a great article, but you're unable to pull off yourself?

What are the most ridiculous and out there concepts for an SCP you've ever had that you wanted to see get written? The kind you'd think would never work on the site or you simply can't write, but would love to see handled well?

For awhile I've had the idea of an intergalactic spaceport hidden in Wyoming. I'm not sure how I'd ever pull this article off but if I ever did it would be my masterpiece.

So, I had this idea about how humans are pretty hard-wired to project patterns onto series of events and attribute some casual factor behind them, and also this idea about how cats love laser pointers and batting around small crap because it incorrectly lights up the parts of their brain and perceptual system that are wired for hunting, and the idea I had was: what if a lot of the cause-effect ideas we have were just the result of some more advanced beings screwing with us? This could range from "let's make them have dumb superstitions" all the way to "let's make them believe there are laws of physics."

I have no idea how to write it, though, and really haven't had any time.

I had this idea a long time ago about an anomalous podcast: Where there would be 3 host per episode, and one special guest, and it releases weekly. Catch is; the special guest could be literally any human on Earth (It's like an exact copy of the human, not the actual person themselves), and the audience can "request" guests by sending a request to their PO box. It's actually a Thaumiel scip, since the Foundation would use it to get information regarding GoIs, since the special guests could be high ranking people of that GoI and the hosts would ask them personal questions, etc. For example, Grand Karkist Ion would be a guest, and they would tell them all about Sarkism and how Flesh rules and Metal drools, or something of that nature.

I've never actually attempted it because it seems way out of my writing range, but it's not out of the question.

YMMV on how truly ‘brilliant’ this one is.

George Lucas accidentally wandered into some sort of portal as a child, and saw what eventually inspired him to write Star Wars there. However, it was too accurate, and aliens send a probe droid that won’t leave him alone. So the Foundation and Lucas team up to make the Prequels intentionally bad, so the droid will be appeased. It would be called ‘The Foundation Ruins Star Wars’.

Also, another idea. A person sold their soul to two demons, and both try to collect at the same time, resulting in a bizarre lawsuit where the Foundation acts as a mediator.

I wrote a fun little half-draft about "Get Back" by Ludacris carrying an infohazard that makes your arms swell up and make you hostile toward anyone that gets too close to you. It's mostly just for fun but I put the idea down just in case.

Steven Spielberg faked the moon landings for the SCP Foundation. In exchange, they allowed him to film 2001: A Space Odyssey on the moon.

It's a fun and intriguing idea, but I could only see it working as a joke SCP or tale, unless someone were to come up with a convincing in-universe reason for the Foundation to do something that makes seemingly so little sense - why fake the moon landing if you have access to the actual moon? Or, if you're faking the moon landing to avoid the huge costs associated with actually traveling to the moon, why then turn around and finance the production of an entire film shot on the moon? Makes zero sense, at least at first glance.

But yeah, if a convincing reason for that could be devised, I could see this one being a fun mainlist SCP.

Sure. I really only pointed this out because they specifically mentioned 2001, which was made by Stanley Kubrick, and because there's a very well-known conspiracy theory that alleges the moon landing was faked by Kubrick. So I assumed they really meant Kubrick.

But I'd have no problem with Steven Spielberg being the one behind the moon landing (aside from the fact the both the moon landing and 2001 were filmed before Spielberg even started his film career). It could definitely add to the weirdness of it all.

I suppose the SCP would want to prevent any chance of a landing in an anomalous area, or the Moon from being surveyed from low orbit.

I once had an idea for an SCP that was a sentient website that would use various memetic tactics to force you to advertise it, since it's main goal is domination of the internet. It was inspired after I suggested someone else write the same thing, but I don't think they ever did.
