Whoever it was that downvoted this 90 seconds after it was announced, I'd really like to know what put you off so quickly so I can rectify it before the rest of the downvotes come in.
I'm upvoting in spite of the thing at the end. The article works without the random "oh noes tiles is aftar me" gag. I would suggest doing away with that.
I'll level with you, my original plan was to let a few people mention it, then remove it and be all 'what bit at the end?'. Then I realised that the edit history would give that away straight away, and it wasn't a terrribly good idea anyway.
Also, I love the idea of an eldritch horror with the nickname 'Tiles', like he's a kitchen fitter or something.
This is great (except for the last thing- of course I actually looked).
I like this a lot! +1 for scprabble.
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
Your (I presume impending) upvote is appreciated, I was so sure that there must be something that spat out predicted words somewhere in the site, but the only similar stuff I could find was mostly computerised or mechanical. It was also an opportunity to get both a Minecraft and a Hitchhikers reference into the same SCP.
Despite being a fan of both, to my disappointment, I cannot find them.
EDIT: The Scrabble scene from Hitchhiker's came back to me, but I still can't see the Minecraft one.
I-i am amusing myself by imagining the nazi guy just really disliked shopping malls
Edit: Oh snap actually the last line in the D-2532 interview has the next D-classes' number in place of his own
Good article though! Interesting and mysterious and mmhmm
Hah, I did think about wording that differently, but then I decided he was just the natural enemy of Robin Sparkles and let it stay.
Edit: Thanks - I checked those because of the amount of cut/paste I was doing, and missed it completely. Fixed.
This rustles my jimmies in a pretty good way. I really would like more description on the wet fish thing in the bag, though. It seems rather put there.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
Then hang on to your hat, because there's a paragraph that should have been in there that somehow got lost in the cut 'n' paste.
I still don't see it. Am I blind?
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
It's an extra two lines at the bottom of the second interview. I'm loathe to put much more detail in there, what you don't see is more frightening and all that.
Oh, that's not a paragraph! I was promised a paragraph! /feels snubbed
Ah well, it just makes me want more. (And the more I want, the more interested I am, huehuehue) So I'm content.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
Thank you for making this Safe. And I can't help but read "A L S O T A P E R" and just think that he wanted to get ahead in the world, and can't get over the fact that he was stuck in a dead-end warehouse/shipping area that all he did was tape up and cut open boxes all day long.
I have very little interest in writing Euclid or Keter articles, I'm a big fan of Hellraiser and the fact that the Lament Configuration box would be Safe makes my day.
If I told you what A L S O T A P E R really meant you'd be very disappointed, so yes, go with that.
The first test breaks your own rules. H A T E T H E M A L L is ELEVEN tiles.
