Would it be okay if I could design shirts/other clothing material with SCP things?
Ideally, these would be sold at Skreened, or something.
Anybody interested? Or is there some sort of copyrights issue here?

Who would get the proceeds?

I'm sure profits would go straight to the Donate! button on the side there.
That said, what designs do we have, apart from the logo? Even 173's a (copyrighted?) sculpture.
Yep, the commissions would be donated. For every shirt sold, there would be a 3 dollar donation to the site after 45 days.
I was thinking designs with the object classes, [DATA EXPUNGED], and [REDACTED].
Can I put up a prelim shop with some draft designs so people can see what I'm talking about?
… So you're only selling the shirts for three dollars? And why after 45 days?
Admin, SCP Wiki
The site I'm using has a return policy of 45 days, and so it holds the money until that time period ends.
The base price for a tshirt is around 17-22 dollars, and if you want the site to get any revenue, then that's when the commission is added to the initial price.
I don't think this is a good idea.
Admin, SCP Wiki
I mean, it could be cool.
If the money is just enough to cover the cost of materials, shipping and maybe a buck or two for the site, could be cool. Should probably stick to Foundation concepts over actual SCPs.
But that's just me. Suppose it's up to everyone higher up.
Yeah, I don't know how well it would go with proceeds.
On the other hand, I would definitely wear a keter shirt. :P
I'd wear a Foundation logo T-shirt. Or a Site 19 T-shirt, or a MTF Ω-7 shirt.
Perhaps resubmit your application, except saying that the shirts will sell for $15-20 plus shipping, with you keeping $3 and the rest of the profits going back to the site? Yes, you're the one doing the work, but at the same time this is a collaborative open site thing and we're not in it for the moneys.
Um.. I suspect most of the money would be going to the place *making the t-shirts* even in his proposed plan.
The base price I think is when they get everything - you can just add charge on the top of that that goes wherever. As such, this isn't what I'd call a great deal.
Well, the cheapest the shirts (unisex fitted) can get is 17 dollars with only the manufacturer getting any money. Adding that to $5 U.S. standard shipping would make the t-shirts at 22 dollars apiece.
Would this be good?
I'm still not sure I'm ok with it. Any other Adminly types wanna chime in?
Admin, SCP Wiki
If we were to handmake a bunch and mail them out to our members, the load wouldn't be huge and the profits would stay on the site. I'm sure someone on here knows how to make T-shirts. Then again, shipping might be tricky.
You'd need spare time for sure, but if we had a paypal system going, or something on Ebay… maybe? Possibly more trouble than it's worth. I might just put the logo on a T-shirt then donate $17 to the site directly.
This. I mean, I have a few webcomic related shirts which came out at less than 22$ and definitely at a profit to the folk selling them - the above website, if anything, seems like a massive ripoff.
That said, given that our logo is simple and monochrome, selling iron-on ones might come off as far better - after all, anyone can get a cheap black T-shirt from somewhere to iron it on. Besides, it's a lot cheaper to make them.
Sounds better. Also, I can't draw. And it saves sizing.
that and you can get iron on "paper" and print designs on them for very cheap.
In case anyone was looking to buy a SCP-related shirt without having to make it, ThinkGeek just added a Redacted shirt. It is about documents released through FOIA, and it is lower-case instead of upper-case, but it's still a shirt with [redacted] on it.
SCP Apparel would sound cool. Maybe you could special order a Labcoat kind of thing with a big SCP logo on the back? and some patches to? O: Maybe even some sort of badge!? Must…Have! X-X
Well, I own this, which was paired with a labcoat and a fake ID badge for my Halloween costume last year.
We need a group of us at some convention dressed in full scientist gear. We could showcase some of the [DATA EXPUNGED] and [REDACTED] materials owo
I've done it before.
Admin, SCP Wiki
Is it acceptable to schedule meet ups at conventions?
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
Tragically, there is no calendar/scheduling module that's worth a toss in WikiDot.
Because that would be cool to post things such as "I'll be at Burning Flipside which has nothing do with the Foundation, but, eh!"
Hmmmm…..Can I try to make a page for such a thing, Wikidots dumbness notwithstanding?

OT: My wife and I *almost* went to Flipside this year. Hell, no reason NOT to represent the Foundation there. Good chance the whole damned event is some sort of scip, if not a haven for them.
Great, now I want to start a Foundation camp at Burning Man. LOL
I think many of us have done SOMETHING Foundation like.
I was looking into patches (velcro backed/iron on/sew on) for the Foundation logo but the minimum amount plus price was prohibitive.
Maybe we could start out with those Dog Tags you get down at the mall?
