Let me introduce myself

Hello everyone,
as one of the newest addition to this site I believe that I really should introduce myself. My name is Ondřej(Czech equivalent of Andrew, hence my nickname), I am 18 years old and I'm from The Czech Republic.

I'm very interested in linguistics, especially in the English language. After finishing all my schools, I would love to continue in this field.

However, my biggest interest at the moment is historical fencing. I am taught the german school of fencing with long swords, generally late medieval times. While no expert, I am taught by one of the (in my humble opinion) best Czech fencers, so I believe that his teachings might be worth something.

I really wish to learn, and I hope to help anyone that might be interested in some information about my knowledge.

Welcome! Your English is very good, by the way. If you've not seen it already, you might find that SCP-1050 is to your fancy, considering your interest in linguistics.

Hello, and thank you! I have read very little, so thank you very much for pointing me to this article, it is definitely interesting. It gave me some interesting ideas.

Welcome, man!
Your English is quite good as I see, though if you try to write anything, don't forget to have it proof-read. Best place to do that is the IRC chat as you can generally get quick responses, besides ,the people there are quite the fun to be around.
As you probably guessed, I myself am neighbour over from Slovak Republic, and that said there's a fair bit of Russians around too, like Gene R, though they generally hang out at the Russian SCP site.

Fencing sounds like an interesting hobby, make sure you don't use SCP-572 by accident XD.

Oh, thank you for the welcoming, it is nice to see a Slovakian brother around these parts. Surely makes me feel better. :-D Don't worry, I would've had it proof-read even if I was native English speaking person, the belief that there can't possibly be anything wrong with what I just wrote is long behind me. Now, however, I will only read, read and read and after some time, I might start writing.

Yes, it is, although it is very demanding on your body. One of the reasons why I started. And jeeeeeesus, that is just incredible. :-D
