Having received administrative permission to create the hub (thanks, Bright & TroyL), I wish to announce a new addition to the site's infrastructure.
Task Force Alpha-440 (aka "What the hell was that sound?") is a collaborative operation with personnel from all branches of the Foundation, dedicated to documenting and archiving audio from Foundation incidents, research projects, and operations. Any audio projects, so long as they involve some sort of SCP (including ones not on the main list), the Foundation, or one of the other organizations, are at home there.
This page has an index for finished audio dramas, but that is far from its only feature. There are tabs for "Alpha-440 Volunteers", "Script Templates", and a Works-in-Progress index (for sandbox links) as well. The Script Templates and WiP index are fairly self-explanatory; I figure I might offer a word of explanation about the Volunteers tab.
Audio dramas are more often than not a collaborative exercise. As the old saying goes, "it takes a village". An audio drama has not merely a writer, but a sound engineer, director, voice actors, sfx artists, composers… the list goes on. While it is entirely possible for a single person to fulfill most or all of these roles, it is helpful to have people willing to lend a hand. While I recognize that this site has a disproportionate number of writers, I am hoping establishing this infrastructure will aid in the creation of cooperative audio projects. Therefore, the "Volunteers" tab is intended to be a central list of available individuals with what talents they can bring to the table. So go ahead and add yourself if you're interested in contributing. (I'm there isn't a need for a central list of scriptwriters, since such individuals can simply post scripts in the works-in-progress tab and say "hey - somebody record this!")
Here goes nothing….
