In the pursuit of what I thought would be a cool and unique way to deliver a story, I edited a number of SCP articles without the permission of the authors. I was informed by Bright that this was unacceptable, and I was not to do so. Unfortunately, I received the message after having done exactly that to eight pages, namely:
*SCP-316's experiment log
*SCP-749
*SCP-420
*SCP-165
*SCP-919
*SCP-820
*SCP-650
*SCP-593
*SCP-316
While I have not been required to issue a public apology, as I caused several members of the SCP community to clean up my mess (Reject, Quikngruvn, this means you), and forced the reversion of multiple pages- all of which I happen to like- I wanted to apologize to everyone I inconvenienced. It was selfish to commandeer the articles as vehicles for my own story, which really is just that- a tale. Bright was right- it wasn't acceptable.
I hope if you took the time to read this that you'll glance over the articles above- they're quality stuff and worth a read if you haven't given them one already. Giving them a little extra exposure is the least I can do.
