Well. Shit.
Nicely done, Rights. Very nicely done.
"WELL FOUNDATION. YOU MADE IT SO EASY. SO VERY VERY EASY." - dimensionpotato
<3 I like this. A lot.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
Neither was I. Then people were like YOU SHOULD POST THIS and I guess it wasn't so bad.
I like this. And not just because i'm in it…
You hit the human side of things well. It's not all bangs and guns and flesh-shredding horror…sometimes the worst things are the long, slow, soft horrors. Like drowning, but in story form.
Again, i approve.
This is one of the single best stories I have read here. Amazing job, rights. I do have to ask though - who is Cluster Fred, and what did he do?
Not so much, actually. I think he was just kinda in the background there.

FACT: Cluster Fred is the single most capable foundation employee.
Awesome story (and Ophelia is an awesome name) of a type that's not common here. I see an "in" that should be "ink", mind if I fix it?
Was this written extemporaneously? Really good sentence structure variety.
I mean, you didn't outline it or do a bunch of drafts or any of that boring crap, right?
I usually have a draft rewriting sentences so they're not all either "BLAH BLAH BLAH." or
"BLAH BLAH; however, BLAH."
Naw. I actually sat down and charged through it all at once. BUT since you bring it up…
…I have a serious problem with re-using sentence formats over and over and over, and I put a lot of time and effort into working with my writing style to change that, so it's nice to know it's working. :3
Although, to be fair, the entire plot was already mapped out start-to-finish, since this is pretty much how it happened in my dream.
Except my dream also contiained a subplot about birds that glowed in the dark, my hair falling out, and lots of losing my voice.
Okay now, radioactive birds? That's some awesome material right there.
They weren't radioactive. They just glowed in the dark. Super annoying, because they kept darting around rooms, they were impossible to catch or shoo out.
Huh, I lose my voice all the time in my dreams. I wonder if it's a psychological thing.

Sounds about right.

I know it happens to me when I have a stuffy nose and my throat dries out from having to breathe through my mouth.
Piffy is an SCP Foundation Moderator, Lv. 9001 Squishy Wizard, and Knight of the Red Pen.
I like the story, really. Just, the few stories that I've read with you mainly involved either had you die or your family die.
are we going to have to change this once we get to the 7000s block and the numbers dont match up?
My words cannot but fail to express the depth of our unconcern for potential troubles of the 7000 block.
If we ever actually get enough good SCPs to open up a 7000 block I will personally buy everybody here pie and ice cream.
At least, I will once I'm done shitting myself with astonishment because it will NEVER HAPPEN.
Just make sure you wash your hands first.

I don't love any of you enough to not give you shit pie.
Not even me? The one whom you have absolutely no special reason to love more than anyone else at all?
You get a double helping of shit pie because I love you so much please get a stomach virus.
Great story.
We need to contribute more, so that around 2032 yellowdrake would give us all free pie.
or we could just drastically lower the requisite quality of the SCPs and get there faster.
also, it seems to average out at about 1 a day since the site began, so I reckon we get pie by around 2028, assuming a zero growth rate in writers. If we recruit, we get there faster, but yellowdrake has to buy more pie.
