Not exactly. Mods can delete comments too.
That said, staff only deletes comments that contain severe rule-breaking material. Just be aware of that from now on, and if you really don't want people to notice posts you wish you could have deleted, edit it with something like "ignore please" or "disregard". No need to allcaps.
