The old one was 100 pages. This is my first official act as moderator.
kol aumer was the last to ask a question on that thread, so he's the first to be asked in this.
Think of a day when you were happy—what you did, whom you interacted with (if anyone), the weather, etc.
If that day was made into a drink, what would it be?
If you count soup as a drink, I think that the drink would be something like a large pot of chicken noodle soup. It's filling and warms you up on the inside. Plus, you can divide it all up into bowls and enjoy it with a bunch of friends.
If you want it more conventional…I think it would be like hot chocolate. Hot chocolate that you're specifically having right after you've spent a day out in the dead of winter while you are still warming up from the cold by a fireplace.
You get to choose one bird, extinct or alive, to become a superhero. What is it? What is it's name? What super power(s) does it have?
Serious answer: Golden Eagle, named Aegis, has an aura of invulnerability that extends out in a large radius that protects anything in its range from physical harm. Also it's immortal and has a gaze that deters aggression. If it looks at someone, they're calmed down for a good long while.
Not-so-serious answer: Kiwi the budgie, whose cuteness cures all manners of ails and aches and also makes people feel better about themselves.
Aegis the golden eagle sounds like the most American thing since god, guns, and bourbon lol
With the exception of airplane flights, what's the highest altitude you've ever been at?
Roughly 160m/520ft high.
I gotta say, the Seattle Space Needle helps get rid of the fear of heights.
Or worsen it
Scariest bug-related thing you've ever experienced?
Someone smacked a fly when it was buzzing near me and downed it.
He squished it, and there were all kinds of larvae wriggling around after he did. GAAAHHHHHH PHOBIAS
Yeah, sure, I'm a wimp. Whatever.
Going off of your profile pic I assume you're an Evangelion fan. If so, what was your favorite episode or moment from the series? (EoE and the Rebuilds count too) If not, why that profile pic?
While I absolutely love the entire series, EoE is by far one of best things I've seen come out of animation. It's just so beautifully surreal and mindscrewy in all of the best ways. It gives you answers, but also leaves you with thousands of more questions.
Gah, I can't say how much I love that movie.
Idk much about the Rebuilds though. Still have to watch them.
what is the meaning of life
Which skip did you have the most fun writing? The least fun writing?
I can't really say which SCP I enjoyed writing the most. There's always a challenge that comes when writing them, which I can't say is a ton of fun (the brainstorming process and that initial spark of inspiration is the best). SCP-2821 was the closest I've come to enjoying the writing process (physics shenanigans are fun to figure out). However, I can say for certain that writing UIU File: 2014-014 was the best writing experience I've had on this site. (<3 LordStonefish)
For the hardest writing experiences I've had, SCP-2417 and SCP-2742 are mostly tied. The former took 2 months due to the interview logs, and the latter was complicated due to irl issues and a lack of motivation from multiple failed drafts. I wouldn't call them the worst, since both were successful (by my low standards) and that's usually enough to keep me happy. The worst would be something unsuccessful after a long and arduous writing process.
the meaning of life is missing, please find it
In your opinion, what do you believe to be the meaning of life?
If you dont want to answer that;
If the Banana Republic were to become a global superpower, what continent would it be on?
Personally, I don't find any true meaning in life. I don't believe that there is a God after I die, or that there is a cosmic intelligence guiding things towards some specific goal or 'end'. The most objective view on life is 'eat, sleep, reproduce, then die'.
But fuck objectivity, that's stupid.
I think the meaning of life is to make life not suck so much for other people. We, as a society and species, need to start caring for one another, with no care for each others political views, religious beliefs, racial groups, or national background. Stop dehumanizing people based on these criteria, and focus on making life as good as possible. Create an equal footing for everyone, with no bias towards anyone.
The day that happens, is the day we can consider ourselves a humane society.
But enough philosophical bullshit, let me answer the actually important question. The continent with the Banana Republic to most likely become a global super power would be the Republic of Molossia.
One time, back when I was an edgy teenager, I asked my stepdad "if the meaning of life is to serve others, what are the others here for?" I'd seen it on a bumper sticker or something and thought there could be no answer to such witty nihilism.
He responded instantly, without thinking at all: "to be served." I've never forgotten that.
What's one thing that really brings back your childhood memory?
Childhood memories? Garrys Mod or Half-life 2.
I played them a lot when I was 12. Good days.
Garry Mod was great, I loved that game too. Never played Half-life 2 though.
When Half life 3 comes out, it will feel just like the good old days too!
(Sorry, had to do that)
Sadly, it likely never will come out.
What was the first drawing you were super super proud of?
If your talking about my arts on this site, I would say my depiction for SCP-753. Other then that, I can't recall.
