I like it.
There are a few bits that could be clarified, like what happens if you play the film back multiple times: is multiple copies created?
Also, the length of the film is unrealistic, even for the Foundation. An average 2 hour long movie has 3801.6 meters of film stock (that's about 2.36 miles of film!). (I found this by multiplying the length of one side of 35mm film, which is ~22mm, by 24 fps, divided by 1000 to convert into meters, and then multiplied by 60 for #frames per minute, times 120 for frames per two hours.) For a 289 hour long film, you'd need 549331.2 meters of film (or 341.34 miles of film!) That's just ridiculously large.
Cut it down to 24 hours or so, maybe even 48. That should help with the realism of this. (Yes, I know, I'm a massive nerd. Shush.)
Other than that, just some minor grammar errors that you'll need to fix. Good concept, decent execution, nice premise! Upvoted.
