This is superb. I'm surprised I hadn't run into it before. The characterization is good, and there's plenty of nice touches such as the lie detector and Ersen's (perfectly understandable) freaking out over it. And I like the characterization of the Foundation in that it promotes him to level 4 based on his reactions here. Upvoted.

I…I love this. You can practically feel what the main character is feeling. I must say, this is one of the best portrayals of the Foundation that I've read in awhile.
