I really like the idea of the Foundation having a - pardon the irresistible pun - cunning linguist on staff and I loved the original trick Mellows played on the prisoner with the water, but c'mon. It's lines like the following that are killing this:
"Dr Lee: Right you bastard. You just made me look like a [EXPLETIVE] in front of the stuck-up Limey. He carries that damn umbrella with him everywhere you know, even midsummer."
This isn't about Mr. Mellows. To be specific, this shouldn't be about Mr. Mellows. This is an interview log for SCP-418 and should be about SCP-418. Gratuitous lines about Mr. Mellows like that make it obvious that this entire thing is an artifice to flesh out a Foundation character and that is the opposite of what anything on the main list should be doing.
