So, this is a follow-up to Bazyliszek, which is also a tale set during the 7th Occult War. The concept of secret wars is interesting to pick through, and because of that, I've decided to write more stories in the same vein as these; might even see if more people want to do it and make a canon out of it.
The thing I'm going for here is less "secret occult war happening between Hitler and Roosevelt" and more "the consequences and price of war, and what war has the potential to wake up". All sorts of atrocities happened during the WWII, and in this universe, that resulted in new anomalies coming to the forefront.
The organization working along the Foundation in this, the New Dawn Initiative, is a precursor to the Horizon Initiative. Both are religious organizations, though New Dawn leans more heavily Judeo-Christian than fully Abrahamic. They were somewhere between a charitable organization and a military unit, studying and using anomalous artifacts connected to religion in order to better the world and help diminish the damage caused by war. And yes, that is meant to be Bernard of the HI Tribunal as one of the characters in this. Go figure.
