Legends of the Hidden Temple?
Any relation to SCP-263? This isn't a criticism - I'm just curious.
Not at all. SCP-024 is supposed to focus on the more physical side of the game show circuit. Whether the announcers are the same person or not though, I'll leave that up to you
Has anyone considered running robots through this, controlled from outside the building?
Somehow, I get the feeling the announcer would frown on this. So it should definitely be tried!
Robots wouldn't work. Have you ever seen robots in a game show? I think not!
And one I dearly wish the local sci fi channel still aired reruns of U_U
Whew, I was upset for a little while when I read the part about the announcer being sad if everyone dies, But then I read the part about a recording is put in a mailbox, and that made me relieved.
This article kind of reminds me of Saw, except you get to choose whether or not you want to play the game. Not the most original idea, but a good spin on an old concept. It was entertaining.
This isn't bad, but I think it suffers from 'telling too much'. I think some mild editing to make it a bit more subtle could be useful.
I wonder if a D-class armed with a firearm could defend himself against the bouncers.
My guess is 'no.' Maybe the gun just disappears after he enters, 'confiscated.' Maybe the bouncers are immune to bullets. Maybe the gun just doesn't work.
It probably just has more obstacles that shoot at you.
it is not surprising to have the entire pool of contestants succumb to the rigors of the obstacle course. If such an event happens, the announcer will express sadness at the lack of a winner and SCP-024 will shut down, resetting only when a new batch of contestants enter.
I'm guessing they know that from the tape, because everyone ELSE in the building is dead.
I'm not feeling it, really. Might have started when I saw the "Mr&Mrs Smith" banner. I liked the movie, but don't we normally blur out things like that?
(Gets glasses)
Fair enough - but the point is still valid. It could use some pixilation.
1st is better. There's no need at all to know whether or not a billboard is there or not.
Okay, do I need to have permission to change it or should I just go ahead and do it?

You need permission. Ask a mod, admin, or the original author via PM.
I don't see any need to edit this one. I've always misliked blurring and pixelating images.

I very much enjoy the concept, but the writing style seems off. A lot of personality in the writing style, phrases like " Also, more strangely," and "The contestant will never be seen again.", which sounds more like prose than an official report.
Overall, though, very fantastic idea.
I must say I concur. The tone is decided non-clinical.
As well, it seems like there are some rather obvious lapses in the testing protocols.
What happens to anyone who attempts to enter the soundstage when a game is in progress? Are they barred from entry? Invited to watch (stuck as part of the phantom crowd from then on perhaps)?
What do video recording devices carried / planted on the contestants display with regard to the guardians? Or Those carried by winners if wireless transmissions are blocked? What happens after the fact to cameras that are planted? Or hell, can you see in from the doors or a window? Would drilling a hole work? I really don't think the foundation would rely quite so heavily upon just the video evidence being provided to them by an SCP.
Hmm, does everyone who enters have to play? Can four people go in, and one of them choose to be an audience member?
Another thought: we should stick 682 in here along with a couple of D-class that really [REDACTED] it off. If it attacks them, that would be considered cheating and it'd get "thrown out"… if it loses, it disappears. If it does manage to win, we're not really any worse off. (So it owns a car or some plane tickets, it's not going to get to use them…)
Either 682 would tell them it refused to play their disgusting games and be allowed to leave, or it stayed and adapted to the handlers and escaped any way while possibly destroying SCP-024 on the way out.
Also, other question, you can choose to not be a contestant but you're banned from the studio forever afterwards.
