I think i need to add to these, and maybe do some kind of story…the church needs more love. MC&D seem to be the big movers and shakers, but the Church has some pretty nice, hard-line zealotry that i think bears exploration….

It didn't quite work — too much exposition to be an SCP, and I never got around to turning it into an actual story, which it probably should be. The idea is as you grow in the teachings of the Broken God, you build it a shrine, which of course is a machine…a machine that only makes sense to (and works properly for) CotBG initiates.
I wanted to get something in about a raid on a high-level CotBG member being incredibly dangerous, because they have some connection/power over any machines in the vicinity.
Anyway, if you want to make use of any of this, go for it…it's your Church; I'm just some guy sleeping through the sermon.

Just out of curiosity, is the fact that "Moth" and "Flame" are capitalized significant.
You know, SCP-914 had its own document put through at very fine, what came out was a large book documenting how it was put together and by what. Yes all of the words are still being deciphered, but maybe you could put the bible fragments in and a whole bible will come out in another language, or if you're lucky, an english translations. I would make copies first, just to be sure.

If you go through the history of the Experiments page, there used to be a LOT more - and many of them were crap. REALLY crap. Wish fulfillment/"I don't want to do this in my real life"/magic toys, etc.
Last I heard the page had been cleaned (a little too harshly - didn't there used to be a Dr. King entry?) and locked for a reason. If you want to suggest a entry, don't be obvious or straight forward.
If you put copies of cotbg bible fragments in (or anything, really), you should get WEIRD and DISTURBING results, never ANYTHING you want.
I don't know if I've been spoiled by more recent material, but this Tale really fails to be interesting or engaging. I only kept on reading in the hopes that something interesting would happen.

I like this one. It's radically opposite to what the CotBG has become in recent years, but it fits well with 882 and 1461 for the more horrifying portrayal of both the Church and the Broken God.
