A group of scorpions that extract memories and knowledge from people believing that they are the individual who has been stung. Scorpions believe that humans are the anomalies.

Elevator Pitch: A small town of smart scorpions taking on the identities and knowledge of people they sting.

Central Narrative: Scorpions will start to believe they are the people they sting except as scorpions. Scorpions try to make a city and extract all the memories and knowledge from as many people as they can as they believe they are not the anomalies.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: Scorpions trying to reform humanity as they believe that humanity is wrong.

Additional Notes: Scorpions sting can extract info and memories. Scorpions that sting multiple people can behave as all of the stung or transfer info and memories to other scorpions by being stung.

Let's dive in, shall we?

So, this is very simple anomaly and there is absolutely nothing wrong with staying small. However, I feel as though you could do with expanding this idea some more. Go more into the motivations behind the scorpions and their desires. Why do they believe that humanity is wrong? What is humanity wrong about? What happens to the people who get stung and the people who know them but did not get stung?

Also consider the origins of these scorpions as well. These articles are meant to leave us with questions half answered and mysteries not completely resolved. You can leave some sprinkles of truth to the scorpions for the reader to put together and theorize themselves.

The story is also not very beefy. That is to say, there isn't a lot here to work with. Who are the characters and how do you plan to get us invested in them? Why should we care about these scorpions at all? In order to make your article really stand out, you have to make the reader feel something about your piece.

I don't really know where to put more information to start so it feels empty, so this is the main idea/anomaly not fitted into the format with details.

The anomaly is centered around the transferring of mind from a human to a scorpion. In the process of being transfered the people start to believe that humans are anomalous creatures because of how the humans treated them at first. The original scorpions have evidence of sentient scorpions existing before humans and that humans appeared one day. The first humans to find the scorpions killed most of the population causing the scorpions to hide away for several generations. Eventually the foundation finds them and contains them. Scorpions also believe that humans are imposters due to the scorpions ability to transfer consciousness and that all humans stung believe they have always been a scorpion. The scorpions want to survive.

The foundation will have contained the scorpions in several different groups and experiment on each differently. Notable characters are native cooperative scorpions, Several d-class scorpions,and a researcher scorpion.

A researcher will write their thoughts and examinations on the scorpions throughout the experiments(mostly negative) then will be stung accidentally. The researchers thoughts wouldn't change much. Foundation would allow the scorpion to continue researching the scorpions from the inside. This section would highlight the scorpions feelings and perspective making the reader care more about the scorpions rather than see them as evil anomalies like in the first part.
