Elevator Pitch: This idea is about a hornet species that turns you into a hive when they sting you. Once a human is stung, the human will experience sharp pains in the area for a time span of about 2-3 minutes. Once Phase 1 is completed, it moves on to Phase 2. In Phase 2, a material similar to what a hornet's nest is made of starts growing out and around the area that has been stung. After that, they are fully assimilated. The hornets, an anomalous cousin of the Asian Giant Hornet, evolved off the main branch and became what they are now. The reason they sting and assimilate others are for 2 reasons:
- The need to grow the hive.
- The need to protect the queen and hive.
Central Narrative: The Central Narrative is about a hornet species that has the ability to convert humans into hives of their own. The article mainly focuses on the fear of hornets and takes it a little further. Many logs will tell how the Foundation reacts to the hornets and how they contained them in the first place. The hornets are also a strain of the Asian Giant Hornet species, having strayed off of the evolutionary line and adapting these strange qualities.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: See what a measly sting from this hornet can do to a human! As a human, the hornets will feel threatened when you are continuously approaching their hive. When you get too close, you get swarmed. Multiple stings will then disable the new-found host for the hive. 1 of 2 scenarios can play out: The human can either be assimilated into the hive or get turned into a hive. In its totality, that's what it does to a human!
