Elevator Pitch: SCP-XXXX is a slender humanoid entity, resembling a slender human female.
- The skin of SCP-XXXX is ghostly pale in pigmentation and is similar in texture to pulp paper. SCP-XXXX wears what looks like a hooded jacket similar in texture and thickness to its skin. It is unknown at the time where SCP-XXXX obtained the jacket.
- SCP-XXXX has no visible mouth on its face, instead, it has a mouth-like orifice on the palm of each hand that it uses to feed. Pointed tooth-like structures extend outward from the orifices seemingly at the entity's will, typically when feeding or attacking.
- SCP-XXXX is mostly nocturnal, spending its daytime hours standing in a trancelike state "sleeping", and its nights hunting.
- Mild regenerative capabilities have been exhibited by SCP-XXXX, an injury or wound that would seriously injure or maim an average human seems to take roughly 48-72 hours to heal completely. However, if it sustains enough damage in a short period of time, it is believed that it could not recover. Researchers believe that high powered rifle rounds (45-70 or larger) could be an effective termination procedure should the need arise.
- Prolonged exposure (exposure lasting longer than 60 minutes) to SCP-XXXX has been shown to cause an innate longing to venture into the woods and an almost nostalgic like effect for fields and farms (particularly the corn and soybean fields and farms of the American Midwest) in roughly 40% of test subjects. Effects typically are not lasting.
- SCP-XXXX is able to recognize the threat of weaponry after being shot during its recovery and is not aggressive towards armed personnel. However, it has attacked and killed some unarmed personal, as well as an unknown amount of adults/children pre-containment.
- SCP-XXXX will not feed on adults but has been known to feed on children pre-containment.
Central Narrative: SCP-XXXX was recovered from a forested area behind a field in Iowa, after the disappearance, and murder of the two children of local farmers. Storywise, the Foundation only has custody of one instance of SCP-XXXX, but after analyzing samples of its skin, and the jacket, the Foundation has confirmed that there has to be more than one instance. After scouring reports researchers have found cases around the globe that fit the MO of SCP-XXXX. The Foundation is currently tracking a suspected instance of SCP-XXXX in the Balkans. Further attempts at communicating with SCP-XXXX are currently underway in an attempt to learn more about their kind.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: I believe there could be quite a bit of potential in SCP-XXXX. Mainly with the existence of other instances. Who are they? Where are they? What exactly are they? Are some more dangerous than others? Just where did these things come from? How many instances are out there terrorizing rural communities around the globe? Hopefully, time will tell…
