The Seminars Team is looking for experienced and skilled writers on the site who feel confident in any subject of their choosing, and want to share that knowledge with the community! Whether it’s specific types of dialogue, action sequences, plot lines, suspense, or anything else - we're interested in a wide variety of subjects and topics from experienced users.
To apply to host a seminar, please provide us with the following in a reply to this post:
1. The idea/topic for the seminar you’d like to host (examples include action sequences, argument dialogue, suspense building, et cetera. Don’t be afraid of suggesting anything that you think might be a little far-fetched, we’re always looking for new things!)
2. At least 3 examples of works you have posted to this wiki that show your skills in the above
3. Best way to contact you (Wikidot/IRC/Discord)
Once you’ve applied, it may take a few days for a decision to be made. If your application is accepted, a member of the Seminars team will reach out to you. Note that this thread is not intended for junior staff applications. Those can be found here.
Perks of hosting a seminar:
1. A social media post advertising an article of your choice
2. A mention of your seminar and an article of your choosing in the Site News for that month
3. Advertise your work - you can use it as examples in your seminar!
4. Help the community learn and expand their writing skills
5. Get to know new people in the community
