Elevator Pitch: A large maze of crossroads, each one is the same as the last except for the road sign seen there. Each set of crossroads has a single stop sign and making a wrong turn will change the sign to a Do Not Enter sign with roadblocks on the other roads.
Central Narrative: In 2013, the first D-class personnel was sent in for exploration while researchers kept radio and video contact with the D class. Throughout the first 20 minutes of the exploration, the D class had driven past 2 different crossroads but with the same stop sign and same desert and mountain background. The researcher noticed, through video, that the roads between crossroads were at least 10 minutes long. On the 12th crossroad, the D class personnel began to go insane after seeing the same surroundings for the past 2 hours and began to talk to themselves at the 21st crossroad 3 1/2 hours into the maze, beginning to talk about not escaping and possibly dying in the maze alone with an almost dead camera, a car halfway out of gas and a terrain that never changes as the researcher attempts to calm down the class D. The D class had already finished the water and food he was given before the trip and was beginning to starve. Suddenly, the D class arrived at a different sight, a stoplight. Surprised by the stoplight they drove forward and passed a vehicle going the opposite direction with no driver. After 2 more hours the vehicle ran out of gas, the D class left the car with the radio and camera. Another driverless vehicle came up to the personnel and parked, inviting them inside. The D class entered the vehicle, the doors locked and began to drive in a specific direction according to a GPS in the vehicle which had the directions for the exit, after 3 minutes the radio and video cut out and the D class was never seen nor heard of again.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: This maze of crossroads is basically impossible to escape and each path is randomized each time someone enters. The vehicles all control themselves, and if any of these vehicles spot someone out of their car one will park next to the person inviting them inside and will lock the door upon entering.
Additional Notes: Looking for feedback or suggestions for my idea.
