Hello, anqxyr,
Crayne, and myself have been cooking up a new color scheme for the wiki so that it is easier to read in the dark. We are calling it 'NIGHT MODE' (points for originality were given).
But, it is in its infant stages and we would like to reach out to YOU. If you wish to assist us, please review the links below and install the Stylish addon to your browser.
HOW-TO
- For Mozilla users: LINK
- For Chrome users: LINK
- For Opera users: LINK
- Any other browsers, find them yourselves.
The theme can be located here: LINK
Afterwards, the ability to switch in between styles should be made available at the top of your browser: PIC
FEEDBACK
Please let us know, with as much detail, what the issue you are having is and post below if you feel so inclined. Screenshots help. Also include what system/browser you are running. We want to get a large spectrum of users and platforms as it'll help temper the code a bit more.
KNOWN ISSUES
██ - Fixed
██ - Being Worked On
██ - Can't be Fixed
██ - Least Concern
- ██ White Text on White Background: Some pages that abuse white text on white background (see SCP-000) will be adversely affected by this theme. Unfortunately, this is an issue that we'd have to accept. It is Night Mode for a reason, and figuring out a way to reverse the text color for specific pages is just not a priority.
- ██ Overriding Other Themes: Much of the same reasoning as above. Night mode is built for darkening the color scheme, which means overriding pre-existing CSS… including the default theme.
- ██ Rating Module '+/-' are Invisible Unless Hovering: Don't know if this is specific with Mozilla, does this on Chrome too. It's something to look at for sure.
- ██ Adjusting Quote boxes and Footnotes: Just a color scheme adjustment. Need to figure out how those objects are defined in CSS
- ██ Search Page Javascript: Can't really be fixed with the way the page is written since it inserts javascript for the search function to work. Slotted for future work when possible.
