Elevator Pitch: It is an Arachis hypogaeum, aka a peanut plant that could manipulate other organisms and drive them nuts (Insane).
Central Narrative: Peanut Plant could manipulate its victims, as it transmits a peculiar vocalization of mutters into their mind. As it's victim percepts the murmured vocals, they enter a state that they'd be traumatized and anxious. Which the plant would exploit the vulnerability of the subject to obtain the victim under their control through the telepathic transmission.
Hook/ Attention-Grabber: When you consume one of the peanuts, it'll then regenerate within your digestive system. Which it would then sprout out roots from the seed, as it disperses around your nervous system, leaving the digestive system. The roots would then entangle around your brain, absorbing its nutrients. Allowing it to obtain full control over your body.
Additional Notes: After completely taking over your body after dismantling your nervous system, it now possesses the capabilities of socializing with other organisms.
Also since it is a peanut plant if a manipulated organism comes in contact with another organism that is consuming ordinary peanuts. The manipulated organism would act in aggression to that other being, attempting to murder the victim, even cannibalism.
Edited (More additions+): It'll also be harmless to those with an allergic reaction to peanuts, as the manipulated subjects couldn't care for them. Unless the person with allergies were to come in contact with the actual peanuts, it depends on the allergic reaction levels. It has considerably high intelligence.
Edited P.2 (More additions+): The peanut would have its controlled victims consume mainly a diet of meat, any non-edible plant (Example: flowers), or any nuts besides peanuts. The reason for this is because the peanut plant wants other plants that wouldn't get eaten to suffer the same fate. Peanuts want other nuts to be eaten because peanuts are eaten more often than other nuts. Their goal is to bring a fair system to the plant world because not every plant is edible for many organisms. It is like the poor and the rich in our reality, as their goal is to bring a fair society of plant life. But they are selfish and derive on their own benefit since they don't want to be consumed at all. Poisonous plants are to be eradicated in their eyes, as they can't be edible causing an impossible fair system.
