Elevator pitch: A sentient spherical light that searches it's immediate area for, specifically, coats to be under in the same manner as a blanket. However, these efforts are mostly in vain as it's luminosity is enough that it shows through most coats.It's the reincarnation of a someone who was killed by some great threat to humanity. If approached in an aggressive or surprising manner, it will produce a flash of light such that it blinds everyone looking at it without some sort of eye protection. If approached in a calm and slow manner, it will do nothing. It can communicate telepathically with anyone that touches it. During communication with it, anybody who is communicating can not speak. If the people communicating with it stop touching the entity, they will burst into flame, and burn away, but they don't appear to feel it or react.
Central narrative: It's only goals seem to be staying in existence and not dying (if it can indeed die), and finding coats to hide under. It is thought that the reason it is so fond of coats so much is that it was the most effective sort of cover available for a long time, as it was first discovered in an abandoned clothing store under a pile of glowing coats.
Hook: It can make you go blind if you're not careful, What is communicated with the entity is only partially known as everyone who knows has burned to death faster than they could describe what the were told, something about a threat to humanity that killed it and turned it into the entity it is.
