Page Type: SCP Article

Elevator Pitch: A simple, unadorned dumbwaiter inside of an old building. If you put something in it and send it up, then bring it back down, it will return empty. I plan create a separate SCP or reference and existing one for whatever’s at the top.

Central Narrative: None

Hook/Attention-Grabber: It’s silly, I guess.

Additional Notes: I don’t really want to create anything large yet. I want to create small SCP and see how they’re received in order to gain experience and build up to writing larger projects. This is why my idea is so simple, and most likely boring.

A central narrative is not optional. SCP articles are stories, and the anomaly is merely the vehicle for that story.

I applaud your desire to start small. I think that a lot of new authors try and jump straight into the deep end without really looking first.

Unfortunately, you still need to give us a narrative even in something small. What makes this anomaly something that isn't just in a log somewhere? What makes it unique and interesting enough that they'd give it it's own unique designation and generate a file about it?

I will not be giving this a go-ahead.
