Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Horror or Drama/Emotional, somewhere in-between
Elevator Pitch: A heavily edited, revised, and redacted document details the procedures involving a creature that seems to be harmless, a small humanoid that only seems to want to pester and converse, but frantic stricken words and addendums compile and mound into the realization that this creature can't be killed or contained, and can appear by simply thinking of it. When ignored within the Foundation's volatile walls, catastrophe can, and has, occurred.
Central Narrative: The article would flow somewhat awkwardly, as the Containment Procedures and Descriptions are all full of redaction and stricken information. The narrative flows around the subject, a creature that seems at first harmless, a simple-minded, small, green humanoid that attempts to butt into conversations at random, often appearing without anyone realizing. These notions of harmlessness would be stricken, as the authors realize that, with the creature establishing itself as a harmless annoyance, it ends up ignored, and pairing its stupidity with the setting of the foundation, the creature proves its own risk factor numerous times, causing disasters and breaches. What information that remains presented forward is written describing this small creature as if it were a world-ending threat, sealing it far away from anyone in a fake laboratory where it gets caught in its own routine, bothering people in an endless cycle far from anything hazardous. Like much of the foundation's articles, this solution is presented first in the article, leading the reader to first wonder what could need this degree of isolation, and then to discover the revisions, failures, and incidents something so seemingly harmless could cause, all due to simple ignorance.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: I love the idea of an extremely heavily revised article, all visibly done to imply a frantic pace uncommon to the foundation. Given the presentation of articles, the visual of a subject having its Classification edited twice, followed by an ironclad containment, then leading right into a heavily revised and stricken document gives the impression of fear actually from the foundation itself. Articles that have that aspect have always been favourites of mine, and I wanted to try and capture that feeling.
Additional Notes: This is a first time attempt at a concept, so please alert me if I've done anything wrong and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
