An incredibly intelligent and somewhat hostile entity that can take control of any humanoid vessel that it can see.
I trimmed your thread summary above, since it was taking up a lot of space on the forum listing. Try to keep thread descriptions and titles under 7 lines so you don't visually crowd out other people's threads. ~Zyn
This is a concept that I have been working on for several weeks, and I tried to change the concept so that it isn’t just a cliché, but I don’t know if it worked or not.
SCP-XXXX is a hostile and sentient entity that has the ability to override a human’s consciousness and take control of its body and mind. This effect is irreversible, and the only way to cut the entity’s control is through terminating the vessel. These subjects can accumulate, and appear to form a hive mind, while the entity gains the vessels’ memories and potentially valuable knowledge.
It was first discovered after an attempted containment breach, when several D Class personnel tried to enter a restricted containment area. They were then drugged and taken to a neural laboratory. After a bio-scan, it became clear that the original owners of the vessels were no longer in control, and they were relocated to a containment facility to be further experimented on.
SCP-XXXX is kept in a bare prison cell-like containment area, where it is given food and clothes, as well as other things that its vessel requires to survive. There are to be no view windows or other viewpoints to outside the area. The entity is only allowed one vessel, and if more are accumulated, the excess subjects are to be terminated immediately. Its containment procedures are overseen by personnel trained to the peak of both mental and physical defence, so as to stop both mental and physical attacks conducted by the entity. They are known to the Foundation as Task Force Magellan. What happens if the last vessel dies is unknown, however, due to the entity’s recount of being “free and unrestricted, devoid of walls or skin”, it is assumed that it becomes formless. The final vessel is to be kept alive at all costs.
Only personnel that with strong mental defences are allowed to communicate with the entity, and must be accompanied by Task Force Magellan at all times, as this appears to be able to hinder or completely prevent it from taking control. In a previous successful communication effort, SCP-XXXX revealed that taking a vessel saps a lot of its energy, which has been noted and utilised in containment breach procedures.
