As this is my first SCP idea ever, I realize that it's probably going to really suck. But here it goes anyway!
The entity is a mechanical quadruped completely composed of CASIO keyboards, 80s toys, pieces of plastic, VHS tapes and TV screens, in the vague shape of an elephant or mammoth. It plays nostalgic media such as music and shows constantly.
Before it was contained by the Foundation, it was recorded originally by the Parawatch group, who discovered a pattern in its behavior: It specifically tracked the direct children of people born between 1980 and 1989.
The original discoverers were used as a means to track and capture the entity before they were given amnestics. Meanwhile, the entity was examined and eventually taken apart - its pieces still fully operational, despite being separated.
Sorry if this is lackluster, or if I didn't explain it clearly enough. I've become fascinated with hauntology lately and I wanted to try out a concept. Thank you for reading, I'll take any suggestions, critiques or questions given.
Quick edit: Before anyone comments, I should note that it is intentional that the target audience of the entity would, in this year, be adults. That's sort of the 'joke' of the piece. It's not an embodiment of nostalgia, it's an embodiment of the separation between generations, and how quickly things can become obsolete.
Down thread I explain it better:
Essentially, this entity is a concoction of nostalgia of people born in the 80s, and is made up of nostalgic items held together with a plastic 'skeleton'. However, it doesn't track down people born in the 80s, it only tracks down their children and 'gives' pieces of itself to them. The narrative would literally follow Parawatch and the Foundation working together to contain it, but metaphorically it represents how fast technology moves and how the gap of understanding between generations has increased in the years.
