I've had an idea for an SCP. However, I am unsure if it is interesting and worth writing.
The basic idea was that an indestructible asteroid hit the Earth and started diving into the crust. The asteroid doesn't stop and eventually vaporises (or doesn't) once the inner core is reached. If I understood everything correctly, this would make the Earth uninhabitable.
I had two ideas on how to handle the SCP. Either the Foundation manages to stop the asteroid (and then covers everything up) or the Foundation does not manage to stop the asteroid.
For option 1, I would have to think of a good way for the Foundation to contain (or destroy) the SCP. For option 2, I would need an explanation of how humanity is still alive. I was thinking about either redacting it, starting from the part where the asteroid reaches the core or writing an explanation (e.g. the usage of another SCP).
I am skeptical if this is good.
Has this already been done before? Is this even a good idea? What can I improve/change?
Thank you.
