I was too late to participate in the Holiday Art Exchange, so I agreed to rewrite this article by Almarduk, who I understand is not on the site anymore, as a gesture of kindness and goodwill in the New Year. I wanted to try and honor their story and dialogue, so this is a light rewrite to make it stronger and more literary.
