So my other Idea is that there are 5 cars. All colored black and different models. They drive like regular cars but once they see a target they try to run them over. They are customized to attack fleeing people and won't stop at nothing. Another idea is a mac 11 SMG with a infinite amount of bullets in the mag that jams at a normal rate. My original draft for very first idea is getting a rework too.
So, what you have currently is the "thing that does a thing" or "X that does Y" concept. An SCP article is much more than simply an anomalous item, being, place, or event. The true meat of the SCP is the story around the anomalous thing. The thing itself is a vehicle that the narrative is attached to. To give my best example from Series 1, look at SCP 093: The anomalous item itself is a rock that turns mirrors into interdimensional portals. The thing that makes this SCP shine is the story; the history of the dimension that it leads to.

There are other guides there that can be very helpful, but these three are some of the most often recommended for first-time contributors.
We need to know more than just "they're cars that try to kill people" or "it's a gun with infinite ammo". What story are you going to tell - How The Foundation found it, Who or what created it and why, did someone use it to some end? (These are not all questions that must be answered, these are some possible narrative hooks.) You need something that differentiates this as an SCP, instead of just an Anomalous Item.
I also recommend reading several (at least 10-20) of the top-rated SCPs from the last several months, and avoid reading series 1 SCPs for inspiration. Many series 1 SCPs would not last a day under current SCP standards, and a few are only still around because of their history with the wiki itself. (This does not apply to all series 1 SCPs, as you can see I mentioned 093 earlier, but many of these were written before the wiki's style had really been cemented.)
The anomalous object, while important, is not actually the main focus of the SCP. A good story, a compelling narrative, something that makes the reader feel something - that is the goal of an SCP article. What feeling do you want to evoke from the reader? Horror? Empathy? Sadness? You need to create a narrative around this object and its effects.
I am not saying this to discourage you, I just want you to understand the amount of effort that goes into creating a successful SCP.
If you can revise this idea with a story that you want to tell, we will be able to give you much more meaningful and constructive critique.
Thanks for the advice. Im currently trying to think of a backstory for both my ideas. I have the idea of writing a tale called the night stalkers that explains it or a least give some into the entry. I'll try to expand on the backstory. I might need help with this because I'm a first time writer
Hey. Im back. Sorry I was way too long gone. I was dealing with school and some family issues but I know have everything set for my 2 ideas/drafts. The first is the cars. They are of course multiple of them (5 in total) that kill and take the soul of their victim.
They were brought to the foundations in 1968 after a nation wide report of 5 black vehicle were committing mass vehicular manslaughter across multiple days, months and years. They were discovered during 2002 and Omega-7 was sent to recover. They were were found in a church locked away. The MTF sent in SCP-105 and Agent Beatrix and they opened the door due too a false order and were released. It was all recorded but the tapes weredestroyed. The other Idea/draft was abandoned but has been replaced with my original draft.
My original was a humanoid called Gregory Frelan. He is a child from the Fifithist Church but he was sent to 1940 New York City for something he doesn't remember. He is 30 years old and can shapeshift into any human form he wishes to or has killed that person. He can from his arms into weapons both sharp and blunt that are made of human tissue and has other abilities. Although he is stronger than humans and has a lot of combat, he isn't what he was years ago due to ware out.
He can't remember much and can't move as fast. He has been multiple police officers and once a soldier over multiple years. He has met multiple SCP's but he can't remember mostly all of them except for 2, 105 and 953. He was brought to the foundations radar in 1944 when he killed most of his squad to hide himself. I have both Drafts done if you want to check them out if you have time.
Edit: Hey, Your probably not gonna see this but both my ideas have been abandoned. I'm currently dealing with some personal issues and the writing for my scp has given me a lot of stress. I not sure if I'll return to try to write again. I'm sorry I took a long time to explain, I was still dealing with some family issues.
