An anomalous oven that 'unmakes' whatever is placed into it into base parts, depending on how long it's left on.
I trimmed your thread summary above, since it was taking up a lot of space on the forum listing. Try to keep thread descriptions and titles under 7 lines so you don't visually crowd out other people's threads. ~Zyn
Per Staff (See Original Thread) "Researcher Morrison, given the degree to which this thread has been derailed, you have official staff permission (granted by Uncle Nicolini) to make a fresh thread for this exact same idea, should you wish."
Several adjustments to this have been made in light of ideas and feedback from the original post.
So here's the idea for this SCP
Basically it's an oven that unmakes whatever is put into it. For example, a prepped chicken, left in the oven long enough, will eventually be 'unmade' into a live chicken, along with separated piles of any spices or seasonings used, with some even reverting to their pre-processed forms (pepper into peppercorns, etc.)
After reading some guides and other articles, I've decided that the main emotion I want readers to experience is primarily intrigue and slight bemusement, but also a realization of the major consequences that can come with unmaking something.
As for addendums/test logs, I'm debating on contents of further testing (such as human subjects, accidental overexposure to the oven, etc), but I'm also wondering if there's anything I can do to take it beyond the idea of "A thing that does a thing. " Maybe a level of sapience, or anomalous properties of the unmade ingredients. Maybe the way it interacts or functions.
What are your thoughts?
