SCP-XXXX is a large machine made out of steel and a currently unknown material. SCP-XXXX has 2 slots located on the left and right sides of SCP-XXXX labeled as "intake" and "outtake". On the front of SCP-XXXX is a touchscreen tablet that can only be turned on if SCP-XXXX-2 is placed in the intake slot of SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-2 are 12 bucket filled with an unknown black substance that has the same consistency as glue. If SCP-XXXX-2 is ingested the subject will experience extreme stomach pains and diarrhea for the next 24 hours. If SCP-XXXX-2 is placed inside the intake slot of SCP-XXXX the tablet on the front of it will turn on. The tablet shows rows of various foods ranging from normal delicacies to food unable to be obtained on Earth.

If a food is clicked a picture of the food as well as a description of it will appear. 2 buttons will than appear saying "Confirmed" and "Cancel", if cancel is pressed it will be taken back to the rows of food. If confirmed is pressed a door on the intake slot will close and various gears inside of the machine will start moving. During this time large amounts of smoke will be produced from SCP-XXXX. 3 minutes later the food described on SCP-XXXX's tablet will emerge from the outtake slot as well as a plastic plate, spoon, 2 forks, and a napkin (hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-3) SCP-XXXX-2 will also be missing from the intake slot. SCP-XXXX-3 is largely the same to its normal counterpart other than the subject experiencing a weaker effect of SCP-XXXX-2 if SCP-XXXX-3 is eaten.

SCP-XXXX was first found in a restaurant called "Fred's Food Factory" after 17 people complained of stomach sickness after eating there. A health inspector who attempted to enter the restaurant was threatened with a knife by the stores owner Fred Buckley who told him to leave. Authorities were called and SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-2 were found soon after.

An interview was held with Fred Buckley were he explained that he originally worked for the Ambrose Restaurant before being fired for misusing kitchen equipment. Buckley said he stole SCP-XXXX to make his own successful restaurant chain. When questioned about SCP-XXXX-2 Buckley said that he couldn't remember the original recipe so he had to improvise.

Fred Buckley was given amnestics and returned to society.

So I think this could go somewhere. The goop kind of comes out of nowhere with no real explanation for it, but I imagine the idea was that Buckley can't actually make food, so he makes shit and steals a machine that can make food out of it.

I think this will run into some problems with being conceptually similar to other food/transformative skips, like the soft serve kittens that got posted a couple weeks ago, but it seems like this can from a direction that can be pretty distinct in its own right. Consider this a tentative greenlight. You, of course, need a second greenlight to move to the drafts forums. I suggest contacting someone on the Butterfly Squad Roster or through the IRC chatrooms.

I feel like this has potential, although most of that potential comes in the story of Fred Buckley. As RTME says above, there are a lot of anomalous food skips that this might skew close to, but the story of Fred seems rather new. A strong characterization of him, emphasizing his dreams of cooking but inability to achieve them would work well (he can't even make the proper sludge).

On the whole, I think this draft shows promise. I am giving you a greenlight.
