Okay, despite a few very slight misgivings, (GRU's ancestor, the then Fourth Department (who itself descended from RU), the Abnormal Occurences Commission arose in 1935 independently from this - but that merely means that if at all, this particular segment of former RU and its findings/research might have been incorporated in later on, or simply lost in the sea of bureaucracy. Who knows, maybe it was that key personnel behind this project were eventually executed, for one. Overall, it introduces more possibilities and so on second thought I can't quite accuse it of contradicting canon), this is excellent, especially the diary, given that Konstantin Ciolkovskij was the pioneer of Russian and in fact world cosmology and together with Sergej Pavlovic Korolov make some of the most prominent heroes of my youth.
In short, this is good and you should feel good
