It may be a possible route to take, as 260 appears to target the being that next comes in contact with the previous victim, either by killing the target, as in Scenario 3, or post mortem, Scenario 1.
The next course may be to put the current victim in the room with 682, have 682 do his standard operation around humans, while observing 260 to see what occurs next.
If 682 does adapt to 260, then it will either destroy 260, in a possible event such as developing an organ to destroy it specifically, or keep it occupied until the destruction of 682, in the event of thickening of the skin or similar action.
If 260 kills 682 then the only one who loses is the current target.
If 260 does not pick a new target, then 260 could be close to considered neutralized, or if not 682, then we just lost the one Agent, who already has a death sentence.

Lots of people have written bad SCPs, even and especially as first SCPs. That's alright when some get deleted, there are always more ideas out there. There's nothing wrong with just starting again.

That said, I can't imagine you wouldn't have a saved copy of it somewhere that you could dredge up in order to start on whatever revisions need to be done to put it back up. If you really, really can't find it and really want to put it back, I think Snorlison has some back-ups of the whole site. Alternatively, just remember the idea and start writing it down from there.

Again, we're sorry, and the idea you proposed would have been nice, but it would have taken far more time then anyone had the patience for, would have taken a huge amount of coordination, and a lot of the original authors of crappy scp's are either long gone or far improved. Always time to start again.

For instance, in my own, personal canon, 231 is treated to a production of Rocky Horror Picture Show, with all the cast in full costume and total audience participation.

Thus leads to my problem.

The ONLY SCP I have created was deleted. This, would be fine, if someone had told me it was slated, and that I had a chance to save it, LET ALONE told me what was wrong so next time I could avoid those pitfalls.

Some might deduce that bad SCPs should just be burned, no reason, no questions asked. While this has some solid ground to stand on, this leaves writers of SCPs kind of in the dark about what was wrong with the ones that were burned to begin with, and with no chance of learning from the mistakes of that SCP.

Why not alert us when something we created is slated, if not for a chance to save it, then why it was bad and suggestions that could be made to improve the writer's skills at making SCPs. Else, we're going to be stuck with the ones we have, and where's the fun in that?

Since I've got a copy on my hard drive, how about I restore it to existence?

In the addendum, though - is that supposed to be "poor control", "fine control", "fine pore control"…? I guess the first, but "poor fine control" is decidedly ambiguous.

That said, I like these ideas, Leicontis, particularly the lucidity of the subject (especially compared to the methodical but gleeful evisceration later). The trick is which specifics to integrate and how, and knowing me, that could take days to ponder (and ponder I will). Thanks for the suggestions!

Thank you, everyone. This needed to happen, and it could not have been done without the massive amount of support and work put forward by everyone here. Thank you, users, lurkers, and writers, who put forward the time, energy, and random strings of profanity for the greater good of the site. This is for the greater enjoyment of the masses, and you, as the masses, are our major sounding board.

A rather large thank you to the staff, as well. I tried to do this all on my own before, and it met with a dismal failure. Thank you for devoting what time you could to the betterment of the site. Large thanks as well for picking up my slack, after being benched by my job loss, and subsequent internet availability issues. Bright, especially, for picking up my clockwork mantle of command.

Hopefully now, we can all move forward to the greater glory of the SCP. That being said, be prepared to have your ideas shot down. A lot. With time, some ideas develop like a fine wine…others fester like a infected wound. Still, I have high hopes for the new influx of ideas.
