Just as fair warning, a guy named Yoric will stab you if you talk about yourself in third person too much. If you're interested, we've also just had some radio drama styled things going on (which are pretty fun), and we always welcome fan art and the like. Try not to do an "artist's rendition" on SCPs though. Breaks with the realism.

I do still like the idea of it, but you're going to have to either up the velocity or give it a much longer timescale between leaving and returning.
Upping the velocity gives time dilation on it, too, which means it would live longer, so it would get more travel cycles in it's life.

I came across SCPs by discovering the game version of SCP-087 and it had piqued my interest seeing as I am a fan of horror and the supernatural so I looked into it and -poof- I ended up here. And after reading a ton of SCPs I became hooked; one thing led to another and here I am.

Now a little about OG. I don't write but I greatly appreciate people who do. However, I do draw and lately I've been meaning to try my hand at drawing horror/supernatural/macabre art, or at least incorporate it in my art. I specialize in cartoony/almost anime-ish style art (but I'm trying to break away from it looking so animu). Aside from drawing I also use VOCALOID and UTAUloid programs, singing synthesizers made to sing music and have also created my own singing synthesizers using my own voice (6 to be exact, 7 counting a WIP).

I will continue to make major and minor changes to this while I'm working on other ideas I've been coming up with. I'll fix the more cliché and God-esque stuff too.

Also, while not entirely a contradiction this is somewhat strange: the rogue article is 'clearly official Foundation work', but at the same time is shockingly unprofessional and wildly different from a standard article. While this isn't technically contradictory, it doesn't make much sense to me.

I'd actually prefer it if SCP-1704 didn't contain any divergence from the normal writing style. That way, any article on the main list could easily be the SCP.

I thought that would be acceptable, I mean, as far as people talking goes.

Where I'm from people don't usually anunicate their "-ings" or their "th-" so I thought it'd be normal-like.

I just…. I gotta ask… How, exactly, is that proportion calculated out? Total area? Longest diameter? Outer edge surfacing? Depth of stain? Does the age of the user affect this equation? What if they've recently been given amnesiacs?

Also, your description makes it sound like a magical stain remover that makes Oxy-Clean and that rub-on Shout nonsense look like sewer water, IF they worked as advertised. So, yeah, nothing would actually be any more or less difficult.

I found the Foundation through TVTropes, reading a page about Crysis, I believe. There was a joke about it being installed on a quantum computer, and the computer in question linked here. One thing lead to another, and after reading a few dozen SCPs, I decided to join.

I wonder: has anyone here heard of a book called Roadside Picnic? It's a Russian science fiction book involving an incident where aliens (apparently) dumped a bit of their garbage on Earth; said garbage turned out to be extremely valuable technology, at least for us primitive human-types. As such, parts of the novel describe "stalkers" retrieving these artifacts from the dump-zones (this book was used as inspiration for the STALKER games). These artifacts are quite similar in nature to many of the things here on the Foundation.
